At St Joseph's School the children have the opportunity to participate in two residential trips, in Years 4 and 6.

Year 4 - The Isle of Wight

In Year 4 the children and adult helpers go for for a week's residential trip to the Isle of Wight, usually at the end of April.

We hope to provide opportunities for the children to use and develop the skills, concepts, knowledge and attitudes attributed to a broad and balanced curriculum.  We encourage the children to develop confidence and responsibility and make the most of their abilities. We encourage a healthy, safe life-style, developing good relationships and respecting the differences between people.

We have a lot of fun, as our visits range from a Roman Villa and aquarium to a theme park with rides suitable for this age group.  In the evenings we play games and on one night we have a talent contest.  We stay in a fantastic hotel overlooking the sea and we try to go down to the beach as often as we can for games and sand castle building!

Year 6 - Marchants Hill Adventure Centre, Surrey

In their final year at St Joseph's, Year 6 children are invited to attend a weekend residential to Marchants Hill PGL Adventure Centre Surrey.  During the week children will have the opportunity to participate in a range of adventurous activities, challenge themselves and reach their goals.  This is a fantastic opportunity for the year group to spend a week away from school, face their fears, working as a team and developing independence.
