All Children (Reception to Year 6)

Daily Reading – Every child should read daily to a parent and this should be logged in their reading records.

Year 1 to year 5

Written homework is set every Friday on Google Classroom (please note that in Year 1 this sheet is stuck into their homework books until they are ready to use Google Classroom). Each week, you will be given some or all of the following:

• A reading comprehension task
• A maths task
• A SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) task
• A spelling practice task
• Handwriting Practice

You will have until the following Friday to complete and hand in your homework. All work is completed in a homework book, so there is no need to print anything at home but if you would like a copy of the sheet then please ask your class teacher. Homework will reinforce and support the learning taking place in classroom.

Once your child has completed their homework, they, with your support, should self-mark at home using the answer sheet provided. However, you must still bring your completed work into school so that it can be checked and any misconceptions addressed.

Year 6

Homework for Year 6 is set using CGP practice books with specific pages to cover each week. Additional activities may also be set to support with learning taking place in class.
