School Meals at St Joseph's

Twelve15-Logo

Our school meals are provided by Twelve15.

We are fortunate that our school dinners are prepared freshly on the premises.  The two-course meals provided are nutritionally balanced and there is a three week menu.

Children in Early Years Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free meal each day under the Government's 'Universal Infant Free School Meal' Scheme.

For children in Years 3 to 6 the cost of a school meal is £2.60 per day.

If you are in receipt of income support, tax credits or working tax credits and are eligible for free school meals please contact the school office for an application form or download the form from our Useful Forms page.  All information will be dealt with in confidence.

Children may bring in a packed lunch if preferred.  Packed lunches, in keeping with our 'Healthy Schools' campaign, should also be nutritionally balanced, and must not contain sweets, chocolate or fizzy drinks.  All packed lunches must be NUT FREE.

Fruit/vegetables are allowed for mid-morning snacks.

No NUTS please.

Allergies

As well as being a nut free school, we have children and staff with other life-threatening allergies to bananas, tomatoes, lemons and oranges in our school, so we ask that parents do not send their children into school with these foods.  Children can enjoy these foods at home.

Special Diets

If your child requires a special diet (e.g. due to allergies, religious or ethical reasons etc), please fill in the Twelve15 Special Diet Request online form. From 1st November 2021, following the implementation of Natasha's Law, the kitchen staff will not be able to cater for a child with special dietary needs without submitting this form. Please see below for the menus Twelve15 have created for special dietary needs.
